Support the collegiate, see the players, enjoy the banquet

Dear MSHA Board –

First, I would like to thank you for your support of the MNSU handball team.  Without your support, it would be VERY difficult run our handball program.

As you probably already know, the USHA National Collegiate Handball tournament will be held on Wednesday, February 24th through Sunday, February 28th at the University of Minnesota’s Rec Center.  There is a banquet on Saturday evening at the Rec Center.  You can attend for $20 per person.

John Stoffel will be honored at the banquet as the USHA’s Volunteer of the Year.  This is a very prestigious and well deserved award for John.  It would be great to have some Minnesota handball players there to support him.  Team awards are also given out at the banquet.

Friday and Saturday are the best days to watch handball at this tournament as players will have entered the single elimination portion of their brackets.  Play will run from approximately 8am – 10pm on Friday and 8am – 5pm on Saturday.  The entire team has been training hard and you will recognize many of the players.

This is a rare opportunity to see the collegiate nationals in person.  It is unlike any other handball tournament you will see with teams cheering each other on during the matches.  If you want to attend, please let me know in advance so I can get you tickets.

Hope to see you there!
