When posting the UofM applicant link (UMN Careers (external applicants)), these are my suggested bullet points:
- Stress the importance of the phys.ed. course as a source of new players. In recent decades, I believe it has been MN's primary source, and I'm sure Mankato State gets most of its players the same way.
- The presence of multiple applicants is an appropriate and probably effective form of pressure to place on the University to bring back courses.
- Note that they can bring up the 'Teaching Specialist' position by entering "handball" in the search field.
- Address the FAQ of when courses may be taught: Ultimately, times/days that the applicants and the UofM find agreeable is what works (i.e. there is no predetermined schedule that would disqualify certain applicants).
Juicy sidebar: Director of Minneapolis Recreation and Wellness Facilities is currently an open position. If anyone in our community or close to it is qualified, including someone who might move here from out-of-state, it might benefit us to notify them.
